Inspired by the concept of giving people tools to help themselves, and providing a retail and marketing outlet, Ten Thousand Villages began. Giving the artists a fair price, and guidance to continue their work is central to our mission. Many credit Ten Thousand Villages with the concept of international fair trade as it was a co-founder of Internation Fair Trade Association.

Bombolulu Workshops
Bombolulu provides employment and numerous other benefits, including housing, medical aid and adult education, for adults who are blind or physically disabled and who would otherwise have little chance of employment.

Intercrafts Peru is a nonprofit civic association promoting export sales of Peruvian handicrafts.
